community service and civic responsibility demonstrated by volunteering

Leadership and Social Responsibility

Service Learning integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience and teach civic responsibility. Our Learning Center successfully includes service learning as part of its curriculum. Our purpose is to challenge students to create change within themselves and subsequently influence others in positive ways. Our focus is on active citizenship and community engagement as ways of applying their leadership skills. We strive to ensure our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge that extends beyond the classroom and prepares them to be leaders.
