Girls cross country skiing

Recreation is a wonderful addition to our treatment program. We are located in the heart of several wilderness areas and National Parks including: Crater Lake National Park, the Cascade Mountains, Summer Lake Hot Springs, Painted Hills National Fossil area, Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, Smith Rock State Park, Newberry Crater, Lava Lands, and the Blue Basin. There are many waterfalls, hiking/biking trails and horseback riding trails throughout each of these areas inCentral Oregon.

The beautiful high desert town of Bend, Oregon lends itself to a variety of world class outdoor recreational opportunities, festivals, and events which the girls participate in year-round.

Off-campus activities may include:
Alpine/cross-country skiing and snowboarding at beautiful Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, rock climbing at world famous Smith Rock State Park, rafting on the Deschutes River, canoeing and camping at any of the pristine Cascade lakes, spelunking, mountain biking, hiking, charity races, downtown festivals and events, community service learning projects, volunteering with Dog Agility, Atta Boy Dogsled Races, Healing Reigns Therapeutic Riding Center and much more.

On-campus activities may include:
Soccer, running/jogging, sand court volleyball, basketball, yoga, Pilates, dance, music, art, drama and horseback riding. Girls may also participate in our Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program.
