“Elizabeth is a true Central Oregon native, born and raised here. She received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 2020 and then a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2023, both from Oregon State University. Having an Oregon Teaching License with endorsements in Chemistry and Advanced Mathematics, Elizabeth is passionate about helping students see themselves as competent scientists and mathematicians. She holds dear a belief that all students are capable of success so long as they receive the correct support. The project-based, alternative school environment provides her with the necessary time and resources to ensure that she can provide students with what they need to feel successful. She is proud to be a part of the journeys of the students at The Academy towards their success.
When not teaching or planning, Elizabeth also works part-time as a gymnastics coach. She spends her free time reading, going on adventures with her dog, and re-watching old tv shows.”
